Academic Review Day
The first day back after half term was an important day in the annual Phoenix calendar: Academic Review Day. The occasion was a great success with many parents and carers coming into school to learn a little more about what has changed at the academy since September, as well as understand how their child is doing both in their subjects, but also more holistically.
Every parent and carer met with their child's tutor and explored their most recent report containing the predicted grades for every subject as well as information regarding their behaviour, attendance and attitude to learning. Many students also had meetings with a member of the SEN team and their respective pastoral teams.
Finally, parents and carers completed a brief survey about the academy. The results of the survey were overwhelmingly positive:
- 70% of parents agree that the school ensures students are well behaved
- 82% agree they receive valuable information from the school about their child’s progress
- over 55% agree they would recommend this school to another parent.
Thank you to all members of the wider Phoenix Community who helped to make this such a positive day.
Mr M Baxter, Head of School
The relationship between the Academy and parents is very strong.
