Year 11 Intervention sessions and revision
Our year 11 intervention programme has been successfully running since the autumn term offering our students a range of GCSE subject-specific revision sessions. These have been tailored to fit the needs of our students with different target grades to support their progress outside of normal lessons.
We have recently carried out surveys to gather feedback from our students on these intervention programmes and we are pleased to conclude that 82% of the year 11s feel that these extra interventions have helped them receive the support they require to raise their standards and understand the subject content. 87% now feel more confident accessing exam techniques to apply when answering exam questions.
Aside from these subject-led classes, we have also offered silent, independent study areas for students who are not part of a subject-specific intervention to use this hour for quiet independent study using their workbooks, and this intervention is seen to be very popular amongst the cohort.

In January, all year 11 students were provided with a set of revision workbooks. Students therefore have a wealth of revision material to work through during the Easter break and parents are encouraged to support and monitor this. Only through hard work and practice will our students achieve the outcomes they are hoping for.
