The year 11 Latymer Upper School intervention group are coming to the end of their programme in which they have had great opportunities to experience expert teaching in Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English.
The lessons have allowed the students to really challenge their thinking and be more critical in how they apply their knowledge to exam questions and to think like an examiner. This has already shown to be beneficial in which students state that they feel more confident in approaching problems and the ability to demonstrate their knowledge in order to gain the highest marks available.
As this year group comes to an end, a year 10 cohort will be identified over the remaining terms in which they will experience a day at Latymer shadowing students and attending lessons. They will then begin their programme in the summer term moving in to year 11 where this support will continue to be provided.
