Curriculum
Our aim is that all leavers from Phoenix Academy Sixth Form will have the academic confidence and results they need to succeed at the best universities, or in whichever future career they might pursue.
Lessons in the Sixth Form are engaging and stimulating, and students are encouraged to be inquisitive, curious and hard-working. Lessons provide students with the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in A Level examinations but, at Phoenix Academy, we believe there is much more to education than just exam results. Therefore, as part of our Education Enrichment Scheme, students also have the chance to listen to visiting speakers, visit places of interest, and take part in after-school clubs in order to develop their interests and explore their subjects in greater depth. Students leave us as independent and motivated thinkers, equipped with the skills to take control of their own learning. This puts them in a strong position for study at university level.
All Year 12 students have a full timetable of at least three A Level courses. Below is a list of the courses we offer.
